Kayne also known as precious is not your everyday girl, and on a beautiful Tuesday in the ever bustling city of Ajah, Lagos Nigeria she was our muse for the mental freedom and self actualization that Africans can harness by expressing their most creative potential within.

Kayne is an androgynous female shoemaker, an artist, free spirit and exceptional creative who oozes a whole lot of ancestral energy as you come in close quarters with her. Kayne manifests her creativity by making locally styled shoes that suffice for the demands of her community. An intelligent, savvy, socially aware and educated individual, one would think that why would such a bright and gifted individual submit herself to such a humble vocation. One perfect answer, Kayne is a high vibrating individual who believes in the concept of service through pure intentions and the wholeness that is evident in infinite love. She is an embodiment of love, as evident in the knowing of her power and self worth, this virtue forms the foundation of her being and interaction with other human beings, whence, her desire to use any gift she has to contribute to the welfare and the collective evolution of humanity

I personally believe that the “best good” you can do is to be “an example of the good you wish to do”. This is why we chose to document Kayne, as part of our duty to remind Africans of the creative exponent that they harbor within and how this creative exponent if conveniently tapped into can be the source of mental emancipation, levitation and economic freedom for the African.

So let’s dive right in. A woman like Kayne, an emblem of ancestral feminine energy, a model of a cosmically aligned soul imbued with virtues in the concise configuration of clarity and enlightenment. She is an example that ought to be a model for the inspiration and exemplification of the potential and purity that African consciousness can attain if they listen to the God within,

what is this God within we refer to here: The creative exponent and potential that is residual within all Africans which if nurtured towards manifestation becomes the onus of mental and economic freedom for the African continent.

And so, we begin….

Kayne: ACCEPTANCE AND FUSION

Truly, Kayne actually aspired to be a photographer. It was a true passion but, she couldn't keep up with it due to inconsistencies with affiliate companies and economic limitations. These challenges made it hard for her to stand on her own and, nurture the dream from a genuine flow perspective. But what did she do? she chose an alternate path which still afforded her an avenue of expressing the creative genius within. She held on strong to her potential even if it meant that she wasn't able to express it in her desired form at the time. Kayne accepted her current circumstances as the vicissitude of life and didn't allow that to weigh her down or disrupt her flow. Instead, she fused into another path of creative manifestation which meant that her individuality was preserved.

Kayne: DILIGENCE

In all that acceptance, comes a strong spirit of dedication to her craft. Every week day, you see Kayne at her shoe shop by the Express way: punctual, composed and applied for the day. This dedication cannot be feigned nor can it be pretended, it can only just flow. Why? because it stems from an innate desire to create something new everyday. A desire to see what her creativity can berth per each passing day. So, she turns up in her traditional black t-shirt and cargo shorts work costume.. and does what she does.. which keeps her going and most importantly: a human component offering value to her immediate community at large.

Kayne: RECEPTIVITY

While being submitted to her craft and submerged in her daily activities through detailed focus and concentration, Kayne is still very much receptive to interactions and jokes from her colleagues and friends. Yes, she is quite the known figure and cynosure in her environment, and even as much as her work needs her attention, she still finds a way to balance her dedication with making sure that people around her get a sizeable chunk of her attention, which in itself is healing to people around her. She knows this, that her warmth, kindness and open heart, makes her a magnet to people around her who are on a journey to realising their authentic self. Whence she submits herself as a friend, listening ear and service offering “work woman”

Kayne: Open Mindedness and Collaboration

Here is Kayne's colleague. She assists her with work at her shop. She is subject to Kayne as an assistant but yet one cannot tell such hierarchy in their interactions. They communicate as equals and share ideas together. This attribute is reminiscent of a progressive mind which doesn't consider whatever superiority or ego.

This open-mindedness is a major ingredient in the frame of her creative potential, for she doesn’t consider herself an island or self exalt herself in the knowledge of the height of her professionalism. She is humble enough to know that she doesn’t know everything and occasionally seeks counsel from her subordinate in her day to day work affairs. This singular antecedent breathes synergy which is a necessity for the collective evolution and quality productivity for the African continent.

She is always happy, she is grounded in her authenticity of self, she is who she is, she is where her soul is, she has rest which is the foundation of the grace she exudes. She is a human magnet, a productive entity, an autonomous and independent being, she calls her shot and she dwells in her abundance
